Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold said both sides had their chances to win but was satisfied with a point against an impressive Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.
In front of 13,095 fans on humid night in the Queensland capital, it was high-intensity, entertaining football from two quality sides.
But neither side could finish a number of chances created with both keepers starring.

“It’s not an easy place to come to. Overall we had our chances they had their chances and it was an exciting 0-0,” Arnold told SBS 2 TV.
“Brisbane worked hard, we worked hard in extreme [humid] conditions … it was a good game for the fans.”
Arnold added the threat on the break of Roar’s Tommy Oar – who was a constant threat all night until his late substitution – resulted in a change to Sydney’s set up at the break.
“We nullified him a fair bit in the second half – they were getting in between the lines a fair bit so we had to tactically change it and push Filip [Holosko] higher.
“But overall we’ll go home happy with a point.”
Both keepers made crucial stops to keep their sides in the game, with Sydney FC’s Danny Vukovic happy with yet another clean sheet.
“It’s a positive result to come here and keep a clean sheet. We’re happy with that,” he told SBS 2 TV.
And the impressive keeper felt it was a fair result after the ball just wouldn’t go in the net.
“Both teams will be a little disappointed having made so many chances but not taken them,” he added.
Sydney FC next play Wellington Phoenix on Thursday night at Allianz to kick off Round 19.
