Melbourne Victory could be without star Archie Thompson for this week’s clash with Brisbane Roar after the striker appeared to suffer an injury at training.
Thompson reportedly limped from the session clutching his right hamstring at Gosch’s Paddock on Tuesday.
The club confirmed the injury on twitter but hoped Thompson would be fit for Saturday’s clash at Suncorp Stadium.
“Archie Thompson just left training early with some hamstring tightness. Not thought to be serious,” Victory tweeted.
Thompson showed excellent form in Victory’s 2-1 upset win over table-topping Central Coast Mariners at AAMI Park last Friday.
That win boosted Victory to two points out of the top six.
