Anton’s departure comes at a crucial time for Canberra amid the club’s quest for a top-six finish; United currently sit seventh on the table, one point outside the finals places with three games to play.
Canberra head coach Antoni Jagarinec thanked the Football Ferns defender for her service to the club, and wished her well ahead of a fresh challenge in Norway.
“Elizabeth hit the ground running when she joined us at the start of the season and went on to cement herself as an important part of our defensive set-up throughout nineteen games for the club,” Jagarinec said.
“As a valued member of our playing group, Liz quickly became a firm fan favourite and a real leader within the environment, which was the reason she was made part of our captaincy group and took the armband when Michelle [Heyman] was unavailable.
“We thank Liz for her service to Canberra United and wish her the very best of luck in Norway, and in her future football endeavours.”
