Fresh from a breath-taking 5-1 win on Sunday, Brisbane Roar coach John Aloisi had a word of warning for Sydney FC, who many believe are a shoo-in to win the Hyundai A-League Grand Final on May 7.
Sydney FC have enjoyed a remarkable season, one which has seen them pick up the Premier’s Plate last week.
And as the Sky Blues sit a staggering 17 points clear at the top of the league on 62 points, many pundits feel it’s just a matter of time before they add to their trophy tally on Grand Final day next month.

Their form has sparked inevitable comparisons with the double-championship winning Brisbane Roar side of 2010/11 and 2011/12.
But current Roar coach John Aloisi had a word of warning for his former side.
“Sydney FC still need to win the Grand Final,” he told reporters after his side’s thumping 5-1 win over Central Coast on Sunday.
“It’s not easy – don’t worry about that – because there are going to be teams going into the finals believing they can win it.
“The media is going to compare whether they’re the same or better than the Brisbane Roar of the past.
“Brisbane Roar under Ange won two championships – two Grand Finals.
“Sydney FC haven’t won anything yet.
“In Australia, it’s the Grand Final that’s the major prize.
“They’re a good side – don’t get me wrong – they’re a brilliant side, but it’s a one-off game, the Grand Final.”
