Western United dealt big blow with fan favourite set to depart next week

Western United have confirmed goalkeeper Hillary Beall will play her last Liberty A-League game for the club on Sunday before returning to the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).

The American shot-stopper, who was initially on loan at Western from Racing Louisville, has now been traded to San Diego Wave and as such will be heading to her new club in order to fight for the number one jersey.

Impiombato continued: “On behalf of everyone at the club, I wish to thank Hillary for her time and efforts and wish her all the very best as she departs to pursue opportunities at home in San Diego.”

Since returning to Western earlier this season on loan, Beall has gone on to make 12 appearances, keeping three clean sheets in the process.

This Sunday’s home clash with Wellington Phoenix will be her last for the club, who have also confirmed they are now looking to bring in a replacement for the fan favourite.
