Wellington Phoenix have gone second in the NINJA A-League Women after they came from behind to beat Sydney 3-1.
Caley Tallon-Henniker’s third-minute opener was cancelled out just ten minutes later by Pia Vlok and second-half strikes from Marisa van der Meer and Brooke Nunn sealed the win for the Phoenix at Leichhardt Oval.
The three points takes Wellington into second place on the ladder, just three points behind Melbourne City. Sydney FC remain stranded at the foot of the table.
