Sydney FC captain Natalie Tobin has signed a new two-year contract with the defending champions that will see her remain a Sky Blue until the end of the 2025-26 Liberty A-League season.
Now Sydney FC’s most decorated women’s player of all time, Tobin captained her side to an historic Premiership and Championship double last season before suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in the opening game of the campaign which has seen her sidelined since October.
The 27-year-old signed with Sydney as a 15-year-old in 2012 and debuted in the 2013 Grand Final alongside the likes of Sam Kerr, Kyah Simon, Chloe Logazo, Caitlin Foord and Alanna Kennedy.
She has won three Championships and as many Premierships during her time with the club.

“It is a really exciting time for women’s football, particularly at Sydney FC,” said Tobin after inking her new deal. “So I am delighted to be playing in Sky Blue for another two seasons.
“We’ve have so much success recently. I’m determined to see that continue and ensure we create a legacy in Australian women’s football which will never be forgotten.
She continued: “I’m on track with my recovery and can’t wait to be back on the field with the girls. The start of next season can’t come soon enough.”
With 101 games under her belt in Sky Blue, Tobin is currently third on the all-time list of Sydney FC women’s appearance holders and head coach Ante Juric expressed his delight at the news.
“Natalie gives so much to this team and is our leader,” said Juric. “Even this season when she hasn’t been on the field she has been helping lead our squad off it.
“Her presence is a key reason for our success over the past few seasons and having her on board for the next two will give us an even greater chance of more silverware.”

Sydney host Adelaide United at Leichhardt Oval this weekend and know that two wins from their final three games of the season will be enough to guarantee them a record fourth straight Premier’s Plate.
Juric’s side currently sit a point clear of Western United on the Liberty A-League ladder but have played a game fewer than their rivals.
