Brisbane Roar have advanced to the Ninja A-League Semi-Finals after a thrilling 2-0 win over Adelaide United on Saturday evening.
After an early shot across the bow from Adelaide, it was all Brisbane in the opening 45 minutes.
A strong showing from the visitors’ defence held out Brisbane for the first 50 minutes, but a bit of brilliance from Kijah Stephenson quickly flipped the script of the game.
Two perfectly placed finishes from Stephenson within six minutes of each other gave the hosts a well-deserved 2-0 lead.
Aimee Medwin put the cherry on top for Brisbane in the 83rd minute, giving her side an unassailable three-goal lead.
Brisbane dominated the majority of proceedings and has booked their spot in the Semi-Final against Wellington Phoenix next week.
