The Australian Professional Leagues (APL) has released the full fixture list for the 2026/27 Ninja A-League season.
The 2026/27 season will kick off on Saturday, October 17 as Newcastle Jets host Perth Glory, kick off 3:00pm AEDT whilst the Western Sydney Wanderers also host Melbourne Victory at the same time at Wanderers Football Park.
A huge opening Saturday in the Ninja A-League then comes to a close at Spencer Park as last season’s semi-finalists Brisbane Roar host Central Coast Mariners, kick off 5pm AEDT.

The nineteenth season of the Ninja A-League will be played over 22 Matchweeks – a full home-and-away season with each team having two byes – with Matchweek 1 headlined by a Grand Final rematch in Wellington as the Phoenix host Melbourne City, and Matildas Yallop and Vine face-off against each other at their new clubs.
The 2026/27 fixture focuses even more on families and making matches more accessible for the core fanbase of the Ninja A-League; limiting midweek matches outside of the festive summer period, reducing the number of Friday night fixtures and securing more family-friendly kick off times.
“We have created a draw that has brought together feedback from all of our stakeholders to make our game more accessible, and to build upon the success of last season to provide a competition that continues to be the best in Asia,” said APL CEO, Steve Rosich.
“Families are the heartbeat of the Ninja A-League, and this season we have limited midweek matches, reduced the number of Friday night fixtures and have more matches at family friendly kick off times.ˮ
“We look forward to another action-packed season and a thrilling race to the Final Series, ahead of an exciting 12 months for the womenʼs game globally.”
The Ninja A-League will observe all FIFA international windows, including the November, February and April breaks ahead of the 2027 FIFA Womenʼs World Cup in Brazil starting at the end of June.
