Western Sydney Wanderers have announced the signing of defender Panashe Madanha from Adelaide United on a two-year deal.
The 21-year-old arrives in Western Sydney having made 35 appearances in the Isuzu UTE A-League since making his debut with the Reds in 2022.
Madanha moved to Australia at the age of four from Zimbabwe and worked his way through the Adelaide United academy before becoming part of the first team set-up.

“The Wanderers are a big club with a lot of ambition, and the passion of the supporters is something that really stood out to me,” said Madanha, who has signed a two-year deal with the club.
“When the opportunity came up, it was very exciting. I’m grateful to be here, excited to get started and looking forward to the challenge ahead.”
He continued: “I’ve loved football ever since I started playing when I was six years old and, like any young player, I’ve always wanted to test myself at the highest level possible.
“At this stage of my career, I feel Western Sydney is the right place for me.
“It’s an environment where I can continue to develop my game, keep improving every day and work towards becoming the player I want to be.”

Madanha has also represented Australia at youth international level, earning selection in the Young Socceroos squad for the AFC U-20 Asian Cup.
“Panashe is a player who has been on our radar for some time,” said Western Sydney Wanderers Football Director, Mal Impiombato.
“He’s 21, he has genuine A-League Men experience and, importantly, he has a real hunger to keep improving and push his game to another level.
“As a club, we’re being very deliberate with our recruitment. We’re investing in talented young players who have the ambition, mentality and potential to help drive this club forward.
“Panashe fits that profile perfectly. We believe he will thrive in our environment and contribute to what we’re building as we continue strengthening the squad with the goal of challenging for trophies and delivering success for our Members and supporters.”

Madanha becomes the fourth signing made by new Wanderers Head Coach Ufuk Talay since taking charge at the club.
Exciting young attacker Miguel Di Pizio has returned to Western Sydney having enjoyed a successful spell at Central Coast Mariners where he was part of the treble-winning season of of 2023-24.
Meanwhile Championship-winning winger Liam Gillion has joined the club from Auckland FC whilst young Atiya Waraga has also joined the club.
