Perth Glory have continued to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026/27 Ninja A-League season, signing New Zealand international striker Maggie Jenkins on a one-year deal.
The 25-year-old arrives after a prolific run of form across New Zealand and Australia that earned her a recall to the Football Ferns squad for recent international friendlies against Haiti and Morocco.
Jenkins made her senior international debut for New Zealand at the age of 16 against Thailand in 2017 and has represented her country at three FIFA youth World Cups across the Under-17 and Under-20 levels.

The striker has also enjoyed spells with the University of Central Florida in the United States and Turkish side ALG Spor before returning to New Zealand, where she was named the 2025 Women’s National League MVP after winning the Golden Boot with 15 goals in nine games for CF Wellington United.
She continued her goalscoring exploits with Auckland United, netting 15 goals in seven appearances before moving to NPLW Victoria club Essendon Royals in May, where she scored six goals in her first four matches.
Jenkins, who is set to feature for the Auckland FC Invitational XI against Chelsea next weekend, is now preparing for her first Ninja A-League campaign in Perth.
“I’m really excited to be signing with Perth Glory for the season ahead,” she said.
“After speaking with the coaches, it was clear that this was the right place for me to continue developing and challenge myself in a new environment.
“I can’t wait to get started and meet the team.

“Personally, my goal for the year is to get on the scoresheet as much as possible and do everything I can to help the team win games.”
Perth Glory Football Director Stan Lazaridis believes Jenkins can make an immediate impact in purple.
“Maggie is a talented and determined player and a quality finisher who really deserves an opportunity at this level,” he said.
“She has been an outstanding goalscorer for the past couple of years in particular and I’m confident that she’ll continue banging them in for us.
“We need to improve on our goal return from last year and bringing in Maggie will definitely increase our threat in that final third.
“She’s a mobile, hard-working striker who scores all kinds of goals and I’m sure our Members and fans will enjoy watching her in action.”
