The Japanese forward said he was excited to continue his career with Victory after settling quickly into Australian football.

“Thank you to Melbourne Victory for this opportunity,” said Nduka, after agreeing terms with the club.

“I really enjoyed my first few months here in Australia and playing in the A-League.

“Now it is all about scoring more goals and contributing to the team to achieve success for the amazing fans we are privileged to play in front of.”

Nduka was identified by Victory through the club’s work with Jamestown Analytics while playing for Kagoshima United in his homeland before making the move to the Isuzu UTE A-League.

Melbourne Victory Director of Football John Didulica said Nduka had made an immediate impact both on and off the pitch.

“We are really pleased to have secured Charles on a longer-term basis at Melbourne Victory.

“He made a significant contribution on the pitch during our 2025-26 campaign after coming in mid-season, adding great energy to our attack, and bringing a great character to our dressing room.

“We are looking forward to seeing what Charles can achieve in his first full A-League season, having adapted so quickly earlier this year.”

The contract extension continues a busy off-season for Melbourne Victory which has also seen them appoint Venezuelan Giovanni Savarese as their new Head Coach following the departure of former boss Arthur Diles.

The club are in the market for first team reinforcements following the departures of the likes of Adama Traore, Lachlan Jackson, Reno Piscopo, Nikos Vergos and club captain Roderick Miranda, who all left at the end of the 2025-26 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
