Adelaide United have been drawn against Vietnamese Champions Cong an Ha Noi FC in their one-off AFC Champions League Elite play-off.
The game will take place on Tuesday, August 11 at Coopers Stadium and will see former Reds midfidler Stefan Mauk return to South Australia.
Mauk initially left Adelaide United to join the V.League 1 side at the beginning of the 2025-26 Isuzu UTE A-League season on loan, with that deal subsequently becoming permanent at the end of the campaign.

The Reds’ return to Asia marks a significant moment for the club, with Adelaide United set to play their first competitive match in Asian competition since May 2017, when they faced Jiangsu Suning in the group stage of the AFC Champions League.
The one-off fixture will determine Adelaide United’s Asian competition pathway for the 2026-27 season, with the winner to advance to the ACL Elite league phase whilst the loser will drop down into the ACL Two competition.
