2026/27 Isuzu UTE A-League season fixtures released: Full Details

The Australian Professional Leagues (APL) has released the full fixture list for the 2026/27 Isuzu UTE A-League season.

The 2026/27 season will kick off on Friday, October 16 as fierce rivals Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers go head-to-head at Allianz Stadium in what will be the 45th edition of the Sydney Derby and the first to have ever opened a men’s season.

The new campaign will be played across 28 matchweeks, with two split matchweeks in December and February, with each Club playing 26 games – full home-and-away, plus four additional third-match up fixtures.

Marquee matches headline the opening rounds of the season, ahead of another huge summer of football. The second half of the season will see the introduction of the first league-wide Grassroots Celebration across Matchweek 19 and 20, before the A-Leagues’ ANZAC Day commemoration in Matchweek 26.

The Isuzu UTE A-League will observe the FIFA international windows in November and March and will play through the 2027 AFC Asian Cup that will be held between January 7 to February 5 in Saudi Arabia – with Isuzu UTE A-League matches to be scheduled each day leading into the Socceroos’ group stage matches.

The Isuzu UTE A-League Grand Final will be played on the weekend of 3-6 June, 2027.

“We have worked with clubs, venues and partners to release the Isuzu UTE A-League 2026/27 fixtures earlier than ever, to give clubs and fans more time to plan and prepare for next season,” APL CEO Steve Rosich said.

“We have prioritised blockbuster games in the opening matchweeks to drive strong engagement at the start of our season, and at key points throughout the season.

“Our marquee games are big events that draw our largest crowds, and are key features in our fixture development.

Rosich continued: “This season will also see our first-ever Grassroots Celebration – slated for Matchweek 19 and 20 to enable all clubs to host a match – to celebrate the lifeblood of Australian and New Zealand football as the league continues to connect with the football’s number one participation base.

“While the first ANZAC Commemoration will recognise the sacrifice of past service men and women of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps with league-wide commemorative activity during Matchweek 26.

“The fixture has also taken into account fan feedback and venue availability based on shared stadia and live events.

“Strong consideration has also been given to the AFC club competitions with three teams representing the Isuzu UTE A-League this season.

“This has posed additional challenges for the Jets’ fixture, especially with the availability of McDonald Jones Stadium in the early part of the season, which we’ve worked through with the club to find different solutions for their 13 home matches.

“It’s set to be another even and entertaining Isuzu UTE A-League season, engaging traditional and new fans as they get behind their favourite teams, and make this a season to remember.”
