Melbourne Victory midfielder Alana Murphy has earned the December nomination for the 2023-24 Liberty A-League Young Footballer of the Year award.
Murphy, 18, played four games for Victory through December, registering one assist in a 2-0 win over Canberra United. The midfielder was nominated by a panel of experts comprising Rae Dower, Leah Blayney, Cheryl Downes, Teo Pellizzeri, Rhali Dobson and Kate Gill.

Murphy is the third Young Footballer of the Year nominee this season; Melbourne City’s Daniela Galic earned the November nomination after Perth Glory midfielder Georgia Cassidy took out the honours in October.
