Alessandro Del Piero looks a little bit agitated of late, but when champions get upset it leads to improved performance. Expect him to dominate Fantasy this week.
It really is taking a stab in the dark saying this, but let-s get behind Sydney FC this week.
Maybe not their defensive players, but certainly their attackers. A new coach so often means a side aims up and in this case it should be no different.
Your Scout was busy sneaking a peak at the Sky Blues as they trained this week and many of the boys looked to be in ‘the mood- throughout, whether it-s because they-re scared of the wrath of the angry looking Italian bloke who has been carrying them all year or not is hard to say, but if anything they are due.
And you know what, they weren-t that bad against Adelaide United last week. A last gasp loss to the ladder leaders is hardly horrible form when you consider they are about to go up against a stuttering Heart side who have lost three of their best players to national duty.
What-s that you say? Sydney have lost Antonis and Emerton. Well the truth is Emo is hardly fantasy gold. His value has dropped 60k this season as the result of his and Sydney-s form slump and Antonis never quite seems to do enough to make him a huge threat.
But the likes of Yairo Yau and Alessandro Del Piero on the other hand… well they-re a different story.
Yau has impressed this season and with an average score of 9 points per game he is on an upward curve.
As for the Italian master, ADP is all class and you can bet he will be keen to run at what will be a stretched Heart defence.
With no Behich or Marrone there, Heart are vulnerable and it means an aging Simon Colosimo is going to have to work overtime. The end result could well mean ADP bags a few. In fact I-m so confident he will that I-m calling him a ‘good thing- for captain, and he-s going to lead my squad this week.
The big issue for round 9 is what to do with all the Socceroos from the A-League in action?
Galekovic, Ryan, Thompson, Mooy, Jamieson, Thwaite, Rogic, Behich, Garcia and Marrone are all in form, but for some of them, such as the Heart defenders, that hasn-t translated to fantasy league form.
For the rest though it has been a big season and most are scoring. Most people also have Galekovic, Thwaite, Mooy, Thompson and Rogic in their teams, begging the question, who do you sell and who do you keep?
Adding to that is the injury to Fantasy-s No1 player Dario Vidosic, who is out for at least two weeks and the selection headache becomes tough.
If I had to sell two of those, the first choices would be Mooy and Garcia. If you have had Mooy from the start you have made 70k, while you would have just got ahead on Garcia. Both are in teams that can struggle to score or win, as such feel free to boot them and pick up some other players who are on the rise.
In the midfield Louis Fenton, Marcos Flores and Marco Rojas are the men to look at, while up front I recommend ADP, Paul Ifill or Jeronimo Neumann.
Buy Alessandro Del Piero
Sell Aaron Mooy
