Adelaide United made six games without defeat after drawing 1-1 against Western United in the Ninja A-League on Saturday.
Erin Healy’s stunning ninth-minute goal was cancelled out by Catherine Zimmerman just past the hour mark as Adelaide and Western shared the points at Marden Sports Complex.
Third-placed Adelaide extended their unbeaten run, though they are still yet to beat Western in the Ninja A-League, while the Green and Black are sixth and four points behind the Reds and 10 points off the pace.

Adelaide took a five-game unbeaten streak into the contest but they were eyeing history against Western United.
The Reds had never beaten Western since the Green and Black entered the competition in 2022-23, losing all three matchups.

They made the perfect start in the ninth minute when Healy’s thunderous long-range effort cannoned off the crossbar and crossed the line.

There was a great chance for Kahli Johnson to restored parity six minutes later. The in-form Western forward was bearing down on goal, however, she was denied by Adelaide keeper Claudia Jenkins.

Western came within a whisker of equalising in the 29th minute after Isabel Dehakiz’s attempt was cleared off the line.
The visiting side did get their equaliser just past the hour mark.
It was a lunging Zimmerman who desperately got her boot to the ball as she fired past Jenkins to restore parity in the 61st minute.
