The speculation prompted Reds officials to respond, calling the story “inaccurate” and declaring club management and Kurz had agreed to discuss his future later in the season.
“As a club, and in consultation with our coaches, we are looking at recruitment options to strengthen our squad offensively,” Reds Director of Football Aurelio Vidmar said.
“Our job is to be successful on the football pitch and will do everything possible to ensure this in the short and long-term.”

Kurz added: “The club and I have agreed to discuss my future later in the season and it is not a priority of mine to be focusing time and energy on anything but our next game and then the games after that.”
Kurz is in his second season at Adelaide and guided the club to the FFA Cup title in 2018.
The Reds, who beat champions Melbourne Victory 2-0 on Wednesday night, take on Sydney FC at Jubilee Stadium on Sunday.
