Marco Kurz’s relaxed training methods are preparing a carefree Adelaide United to attack the Finals Series head on, according to defender Ben Garuccio.
Garuccio was on target in the accomplished 3-1 win over Wellington Phoenix on Friday night that elevated Adelaide to fourth.
With eight goals in two matches leading into the final two rounds, the marauding left-back believes the Reds are ready to make an impact on the post-season.
“We’ve already played in the FFA Cup Final. That holds us in good stead for what’s to come,” Garuccio told Fox Sports.
“[Kurz has] just filled us with confidence every week and really taken the pressure off us.
“It’s easy when you’re out there. We’re playing free and scoring goals which is important.”

Garuccio’s goal, a thunderous finish from a narrow angle, was just the second of his 92-game Hyundai A-League career.
The 22-year-old revealed his relief at putting a stop to some of his team-mates’ banter.
“I was buzzing. It’s something I cop a lot of stick for around the club,” he said.
Key stats as Adelaide United add to Wellington Phoenix woes
“My family, my friends, everyone says ‘we like you scoring goals’, so it was nice to get on the scoresheet.
“I think there was probably a couple of boys lining up in the box that I could have cut it to, but I just put my head down and hit it and it came off well.”
