Melbourne Victory have secured goalkeeper Matt Acton on a two-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until the end of the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 Season.
Acton joined Victory in 2016, initially as an injury-replacement for Alistair Bray, before signing a one-year deal in May 2017.
The 25-year-old has made four Hyundai A-League appearances for Victory, three of which have come this season.
“I’m obviously delighted to extend my time here at Victory,” Acton said.
“I will continue to work hard in training to make sure I’m ready to step up when the opportunity arises.”

Victory boss Kevin Muscat has been a big reason behind Acton’s development and was excited to keep working with the Queensland-born shotstopper.
“Matt has shown a great attitude to training and has done an excellent job for us when called upon,” Muscat said.
“It’s a big plus to have such a reliable and experienced goalkeeper pushing for a place in that starting XI.”
