Fixtures locked in for Liberty A-League finals series: What you need to know

After a dramatic final day of the regular season, the Liberty A-League Finals Series is locked and loaded. This is your team’s path to the Championship.

For the first time, six teams will take part in the Liberty A-League Finals Series, with a new structure seeing the sides who finished first and second start the post-season with a week off.

Across a four-week finals series, a champion will be crowned.

Which teams will take part?

These are the six teams who will compete in the 2023-24 Liberty A-League Finals Series, in the order in which they finished on the table.

  1. Melbourne City
  2. Sydney FC
  3. Western United
  4. Melbourne Victory
  5. Central Coast Mariners
  6. Newcastle Jets

Week One: Elimination Finals

  • Saturday, 13 April: Western United (3) v Newcastle Jets (6) at Regional Football Facility, Tarneit. Kick off 6:30pm AEST.
  • Sunday, 14 April: Melbourne Victory (4) v Central Coast Mariners (5) at Home of the Matildas. Kick off 4pm AEST.

Week off: Melbourne City, Sydney FC

Tickets for week one of the Liberty A-League Finals Series go on sale for A-League Women members on Monday, 8 April at 10am AEST, then for A-League Men members at 3pm AEST.

General public tickets go on sale from Tuesday, 9 April at 10am AEST.

Week Two: Semi Finals – Leg One

  • Melbourne City v Lowest Place Elimination Final Winner (Date TBC)
  • Sydney FC v Highest Place Elimination Final Winner (Date TBC)

Week Three: Semi Finals – Leg Two

  • Melbourne City v Lowest Place Elimination Final Winner (Date TBC)
  • Sydney FC v Highest Place Elimination Final Winner (Date TBC)

Note: Highest place team may nominate preference to host leg one or two. Away goals rule does not apply for Semi Finals.

Week Four: Grand Final

  • Saturday, 4 May: SF Winner v SF Winner
