Wellington Phoenix star Sam Sutton insisted he is focused on the Isuzu UTE A-League season as he refused to confirm or deny whether he will still be at the club in 2025-26.
Sutton is out of contract at the end of the current campaign and there has been speculation over the New Zealand international’s future in Wellington.

The 25-year-old defender, however, told reporters ahead of Sunday’s match against Newcastle Jets: “Obviously that’s (speculation) always going to happen when you’re coming off contract.
“For me, we’re still in the middle of the season so I don’t think it’s wise to comment on what’s going to happen, whether I’m staying here at the Phoenix or going overseas.
“Whatever decision I come to, it will be a decision I think that will be best for my career.”
