Macarthur FC have parted ways with five players and assistant coach Jacob Burns as the 2022-23 Isuzu UTE A-League wooden spooners begin their off-season rebuild.
English winger Craig Noone is among the five out-of-contract players to depart the Bulls, along with strikers Bachana Arabuli and Jason Romero, centre-back Aleksandar Susnjar and goalkeeper Nick Suman.
Noone, 35, brings his two-season stint at Macarthur to a close after two seasons prior spent at Melbourne City. He’s joined by one of the club’s inaugural signings in Aleksandar Susnjar who departs after 50 league appearances in three seasons.
Georgian international Arabuli arrived at the club in September, expressing his eagerness at the time to work under former Bulls head coach Dwight Yorke. Yorke left his post in January; Arabuli went on to make 15 appearances (11 starts) for the club, scoring five goals.
Suman, 23, ends his three-season stint at Macarthur with six first-team league appearances to his name. Romero meantime was signed in March from NPL NSW club AAPIA Leichhardt, making five appearances and scoring one goal in a 1-1 draw with Melbourne City in March.
In addition to the five players, assistant coach Jacob Burns has departed the Bulls coaching staff, returning to Perth for family reasons.
