Korean K League 1 club Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors have confirmed the signing of young Perth Glory winger Joel Anasmo on a short-term loan deal.
The 20-year-old’s initial loan deal will expire at the end of June, with Jeonbuk retaining an option to extend the duration of the loan or, pending the agreement of a transfer fee, sign Anasmo on a permanent basis.
Anasmo has made 22 league appearances for Glory since his debut against Melbourne City in February 2024. Anasmo scored his first and only league goal for the club on debut; he’s made one start and 21 substitute appearances in the Isuzu UTE A-League since his promotion from Glory’s academy into the first-team squad.

Having confirmed his signature, Jeonbuk revealed that the deal to sign Anasmo was sealed in March, with the delay in confirmation due to administrative procedures and securing the Glory winger’s visa approval.
Jeonbuk are currently seven games into the 2025 K League 1 campaign and sit fourth on the table, five points behind league leaders Daejeon Hana with a game in hand.
