Melbourne Victory re-sign ‘prodigious talents’ in double deal

Melbourne Victory have re-signed young guns Jordi Valadon and Kasey Bos ahead of this weekend’s blockbuster Melbourne Derby.

The talented duo who have both graduated from Victory’s academy, have extended their contracts until the end of the 2026-27 Isuzu UTE A-League season.

Valadon and Bos have established themselves in the A-Leagues side after signing their first professional deals.

“We’re delighted that prodigious talents like Kasey and Jordi are committed to the club for the long term,” said director of football John Didulica with Saturday’s showdown with rivals Melbourne City looming.

“We couldn’t be prouder of their progress through our programme and, importantly, they are both continuing to grow and improve to the point where they are now valuable members of our squad and also the Australian U23 National Team.”

Jordi Valadon

Valadon has started all 17 of Victory’s Isuzu UTE A-League fixtures this season after starting the 2023-24 Grand Final defeat to Central Coast Mariners.

The 21-year-old midfielder also started the 2024 Australia Cup Final, having scored in the semi-final against Adelaide United.

Valadon said: “I’m really happy to be extending my contract with Melbourne Victory.

“Having started my professional career here, I’m grateful for the opportunity the club has given me. I’m looking forward to continuing to work with all our coaches and the rest of the team as we aim for success this season.”

Bos – the younger brother of Subway Socceroos full-back Jordan – made his starting debut this season and the 20-year-old has gone on to start on 14 occasions in 2024-25.

“Continuing my football career with Victory, for me, is something I’d definitely hoped for,” he added.

“Having been part of the Academy program, staying with the club with the aim of winning games and Championships is always the goal.
