Western Sydney defender re-signs as Wanderer soars off field after receiving PFA scholarship

Western Sydney Wanderers full-back Gabriel Cleur has re-signed with the Isuzu UTE A-League club.

Cleur, who joined in 2022-23, will remain at the Wanderers until at least the end of the 2025-26 season after penning a contract extension.

The 27-year-old started all 22 of his A-Leagues appearances in 2024-25, scoring once as the Wanderers reached the Elimination Final amid a 12-match unbeaten streak – their best run in 12 years.

“It was a very easy choice for me to stay with the Wanderers. It’s where I grew up and my family is now settled,” said Cleur.

“The club itself has been an important part of my life – the players, the people in the office, the coaching staff and everything.

“So for me, it was a no-brainer. I’m grateful for the Wanderers for the extension for another year.”

“He’s been with the Wanderers for a number of seasons now and really understands the culture, values and expectations of this club.
