Central Coast Mariners star Josh Nisbet took out top honours as the winners of the league’s 10 prestigious post-season awards were confirmed at Saturday’s Isuzu UTE A-League Grand Final.
With 10 award winners announced as part of the build-up to and during the Isuzu UTE A-League 2024 Grand Final, Central Coast Mariners’ star Nisbet headlines the list of recipients following an incredible season to win his first Johnny Warren Medal.
Across the regular season the midfield maestro notched three goals and nine assists, and created 54 chances. Nisbet’s incredible season was also rewarded with his first Subway Socceroos cap in March against Lebanon.
After his first season in charge with the Central Coast Mariners, Mark Jackson has been named the Coach of the Year after claiming the Premiers Plate and with his side now on the brink of claiming an historic treble, having also collected the 2024 AFC Cup.

Socceroos and Perth Glory frontman Adam Taggart claimed the Golden Boot after an incredible season in front of goal. Taggart’s 20 goals this season secured his second Golden Boot and took his career A-League Men tally to 76 goals.
The eToro Playmaker of the Year, awarded for the best assist of the season, was won by Sydney FC’s Anthony Cáceres for his outstanding assist against Newcastle Jets in Round 23.
The three awards distributed at half-time of the 2024 Grand Final added to the award winners confirmed prior to kick-off and in the days leading into this season’s title decider.
Wellington Phoenix’s Alex Paulsen claimed three awards after a breakout season in goal for Giancarlo Italiano’s side. He was named Goalkeeper of the Year as well as Fan Player of the Year after making a league-high 119 saves, conceding just 26 goals in the regular season and keeping 12 clean sheets.
Paulsen also shared Boost Young Footballer of the Year honours with Adelaide United’s Nestory Irankunda; the two young stars couldn’t be split after their respectively stellar seasons.
Meanwhile, Central Coast Mariners’ Danny Vukovic collected Save of the Year for his jaw-dropping save against Western Sydney Wanderers in Round 17 to deny Nicolas Milanovic from range.
Melbourne Victory star Bruno Fornaroli took out the Isuzu UTE Goal of the Year for his Round 6 strike against Central Coast Mariners, while Alex King was named Referee of the Year.
