Two Hyundai A-League stars have been recognised for their exceptional performances last weekend by earning selection in EA SPORTS’ FIFA team of the week.
Melbourne City star Harry Novillo and Victory’s Kosta Barbaouses were named in the squad which includes some big names in world football.
Real Madrid star Gareth Bale and Napoli pair Gonzalo Higuain and Marek Hamzik were others selected alongside the A-League pair.
Novillo put in another epic performance for City, who ended Western Sydney’s long unbeaten run.
The Frenchman scored two superb goals in the thrilling 3-2 win over the Wanderers at AAMI Park on Saturday night.
And just 24 hours earlier Barbarouses stole the show for Victory in their stunning comeback to draw 3-3 with Central Coast Mariners.
The Kiwi international assisted all three goals for the champions, who fought back from 3-0 down at half-time to sntach a point in Geelong.
The pair’s selection in the EA SPORTS’ FIFA team of the week comes just a week after Sydney FC playmaker Milos Ninkovic was also recognised for his two-goal performance in round 13.
