How to watch the 2022 E-League on Twitch

What is it?

The E-League is Australia’s premier FIFA Esports Competition, where elite competitors from Australia and New Zealand will compete using the FIFA Ultimate Team game mode to determine who is the best FIFA competitor in Oceania.

Who is competing?

Every A-League Men’s team has selected two competitors to represent them during E-League 2022. Competitors include Jamie O’Doherty (Sydney FC), Marcus Gomes (Melbourne City), and Mouad Zwed (Melbourne Victory) who have competed in all five seasons of the E-League.

Dylan Campbell (Western United) enters the competition as the #1 seed, while Max Dengate (Macarthur FC) and Jesse Racey (Perth Glory) received their spots in the competition through the Path to E-League tournament.

What is the format?

The 24 competitors have been drawn into four groups of six. Each competitor will play five group games, with the top two competitors from each group (8 in total) progressing to the knockout stage. From there, the E-League 2022 Champion will be crowned.

What does a game look like?

Competitors play each other in the FIFA Ultimate Team game mode, wearing the A-League kits of the club they are representing. Their team includes real-life players from the world of football, and also heroes and icons of the past.

Each competitor must also include two A-League players from the club that they are representing on the digital pitch at all times.

FIFA 22 has provided the A-League with some of the best FUT Items (players) in its history, including Craig Goodwin (Adelaide United), Jamie Maclaren (Melbourne City) and Lachie Wales (Western United).

What’s at stake?

For the first time, the E-League has a $10,000 Prize Pool, with the winner receiving $4,000. The top two placed competitors from the E-League 2022 will receive a spot in the EA SPORTS FIFA 22 Global Series Playoffs.
