Seven of the ten Hyundai A-League clubs will be represented when Australia and New Zealand start their two-legged winner-takes-all World Cup playoff qualifiers on Saturday.
Here are the Hyundai A-League players set to play a part in Wellington and San Pedro Sula.
TIM CAHILL (MELBOURNE CITY)
The Caltex Socceroos talisman is in a race against time to be fit to play Honduras after injuring his ankle a week ago.
MICHAEL MCGLINCHEY (WELLINGTON PHOENIX)
The combative midfielder is a certain starter for New Zealand in the first leg of their tie against Peru.
STORM ROUX (CENTRAL COAST MARINERS)
Having recovered from an ankle knock, the Mariners fullback is in line to play on the right side of what is sure to be a busy All Whites defence.
JAMES TROISI (MELBOURNE VICTORY)
Started Australia’s last game against Syria and has been heavily involved in 2017, including a goal against Chile at the Confederations Cup.
KOSTA BARBAROUSES (MELBOURNE VICTORY)
May be used from the bench in Wellington, but capable of asking questions of an erratic Peruvian defence.
DANE INGHAM (BRISBANE ROAR)
In a straight battle with Roux for New Zealand’s right-back spot, but the teenager is the incumbent having started the last game against Japan.
JOSH RISDON (WESTERN SYDNEY WANDERERS)
Earned his fourth cap in the first leg against Syria and wouldn’t be fazed by the occasion if called upon again.
ANDREW DURANTE (WELLINGTON PHOENIX)
Having made a miraculous recovery from a groin injury to earn selection in the New Zealand squad, it remains to be seen if the ‘Nix skipper makes the playing eleven.
GLENN MOSS (NEWCASTLE JETS)
Unlikely to feature with Stefan Marinovic now the established kiwi number one, but brings a wealth of international experience.
MARK MILLIGAN (MELBOURNE VICTORY)*
*Milligan is suspended for the first leg but likely to play in the second leg in Sydney.
