Juventus sent an ominous warning to the Foxtel A-League All Stars after an 8-1 win over an Indonesian Select XI on Wednesday night which included a six-minute hat-trick to Spanish striker Fernando Llorente.
Despite going behind in just the third minute, the star-studded Bianconeri showed all their class to thrill the 60,000 fans at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in in Jakarta.
Coach Massimiliano Allegri sent out a strong side on the first hit-out of their Asian tour and it was one of those superstars that equalized barely a minute after going behind when Andrea Pirlo slotted home a penalty.
From that point it was all the Italian champions as they scored four more times before the break, including a six-minute hat-trick to Spanish striker Fernando Llorente.
Showing the enormous task ahead of Josep Gombau and his All Stars, Carlos Tevez and Patrice Evra came on at half-time as Juve continued to create chance after chance.
The FOXTEL A-League All Stars will meet Juventus at ANZ Stadium in Sydney on 10 August with the match to be broadcast live and exclusive on the Seven Network nationally.
Youngster Kingsley Coman, Tevez and Simone Pepe added further goals to ensure the Italian giants are in blistering form before they arrive in Sydney on Friday.
“It was a good training session and I am satisfied with the attitude of the lads this evening,” Allegri told the official Juventus Twitter account.
“We picked up the pace, adding great intensity so that we can improve our fitness levels.
“The competition will be far tougher in Serie A, so we must try to improve upon our solid foundations.”
Juventus arrive in Sydney early on Friday morning (AEST) and will hold a special open training session for fans at Kogarah Oval on Saturday, starting at 5.30pm.
