The Westfield W-League is set to heat up this weekend with four teams sitting level on points at the top of the table.
And with there yet to be a single draw so far this campaign, expect another entertaining round of football in Round 4.
Here’s why you should tune into the action this week.
THE DAZZLING DONIAK
Makenzy Doniak’s performance for Adelaide United last week was simply stunning.
The American netted a superb hat-trick against Perth Glory and with four goals from two games, clearly has the potential to set this Reds side alight.
After keeping a clean sheet last week, Brisbane Roar will need to mark her tightly on Friday night.
SKY BLUES STILL SEARCHING
It’s been an uncharacteristically poor start to the competition for the Sky Blues, with Ante Juric’s side losing all three games so far this season.
It doesn’t get any easier for the Sky Blues as they come up against a red-hot Melbourne City outfit fresh from a 5-2 drubbing of Newcastle Jets.
Can Sydney rise to the challenge?
PERTH WITH A POINT TO PROVE
While still sitting top of the W-League, Glory were humbled last week in a 3-1 loss to Adelaide.
After coming up short in the final last season, Perth have extra motivation to go all the way this time around and expect that loss to give them a spark.
Fresh from last weekend’s bye, Melbourne Victory will be desperate to bounce back from a round 2 derby loss to City.
CAN THE JETS REBOUND?
Having won their first two games this season, Newcastle were brought crashing down to earth last week in a 5-2 defeat to City.
With Katie Stengel spearheading their attack, the Jets certainly have goals in them but will need to tighten up at the back if they’re a chance of challenging for silverware.
It’ll be a big test for them on Sunday against a free-scoring Canberra United side that put three past Sydney FC last week to secure their first win of the season.
