Melbourne City have secured another key piece of their championship-winning squad, with attacker Aideen Keane re-signing for the 2026/27 Ninja A-League season.
The 24-year-old returns for a second campaign at City after an impressive debut season in which she played every match across domestic and continental competitions, helping the club secure the Premiership-Championship double and qualify for the AFC Women’s Champions League for a third consecutive year.
As a result of her fine form in season 2025/26, Keane has also been named in the Ninja A-League All Stars squad for the upcoming clash with Chelsea FC in Sydney on August 12.

Keane scored eight goals in 28 appearances during the 2025/26 campaign, announcing herself with a late equaliser on debut against Sydney FC before becoming one of Michael Matricciani’s most influential attacking players.
Her re-signing is another boost for the reigning champions as they prepare to defend their domestic crowns while challenging for further success in Asia.
Melbourne City Director of Football Michael Petrillo said retaining Keane was a significant result for the club.
