Western Sydney Wanderers FC have confirmed the signing of dynamic New Zealand attacker Liam Gillion, with the exciting young talent joining the club on a two-year deal.
The 23-year-old arrives at Wanderland after making 24 A-League Men appearances across the past two seasons, where he established himself as one of the competition’s promising young attacking talents.

Capable of playing across the front line, Gillion brings pace, creativity and versatility as he joins the Wanderers ahead of the 2026/27 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
Gillion has also represented New Zealand at both Under-23 and senior international level, making his All Whites debut in 2024.

Gillion said he was excited to begin the next chapter of his career with the Wanderers.
“I’m really grateful for the opportunity to join the Wanderers,” said Gillion.
“It’s a club with high standards and clear ambition, and I’m looking forward to getting started, meeting the group and working hard every day.”
Gillion said he believes the move to Western Sydney comes at the right stage of his career.
“I’ve learnt a lot over the past couple of seasons and I feel ready for a new challenge.
“I want to keep improving as a player, contribute to the team however I can and do everything possible to help the club have a successful season.”

Western Sydney Wanderers Football Director Mal Impiombato said Gillion was another important addition to the Wanderers’ squad as we look to further instil a winning mentality.
