Bayliss is currently away with the New Zealand squad at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America and will join up with his new club once the All Whites’ campaign comes to an end.

“To be joining Auckland off the back of a World Cup is a dream,” said Bayliss.

“There’s no better time to be a New Zealand footballer, and I want to bring that energy to Auckland FC. I’ve seen what this club means to the fans.”

“The club has ambition, and the fans are incredible. I’ve experienced that atmosphere as an opponent, and it’s something else.

The four-cap All White made his debut against Finland in March 2026 having earlier represented his country at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
