Daniel McBreen and Tommy Oar have named their Teams of the Season for the 2025/26 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
The panel revealed their teams of the season on this week’s episode of Total A-Leagues and they both agreed some spots could be decided by the flip of a coin.

“Max Burgess was the most energetic six. He offered defence, he was good on the ball going forward. I thought he was fantastic.”
Rhyan Grant just edged out Daniel Wilmering for the right-back spot given Sydney FC’s run to the Grand Final and Mark Natta slots in as “a big reason why the Jets were defensively much sounder.”
“The front third, this is another one where I had players in and out,” he said. “I’ve eventually gone with Eli Adams. I think his goal in the semi-final summed it up for me and clinched it for him.”

“Verstraete, who I think dropped off towards the end of the season but in finals again showed why he’s so valuable.”
Nathaniel Atkinson comes in at right-back and Natta is edged out by Panagiotis Kikianis. Louis Verstraete and Newcastle’s Clayton Taylor are the only other points of difference between the two sides.
“Alagich and Okon(-Engstler) were the two that I was umm-ing and ahh-ing about and probably the two that were unlucky,” said Oar. “I think they were the four standout midfielders.”
