Melbourne City have been juggling both their Isuzu UTE A-League title defence and AFC Champions League Elite commitments this season and at one point looked as though they would fall short of qualifying for this year’s Finals Series.

However, a run of five games unbeaten in the league including their current three-game winning streak has seen them surge into the finals positions, with City now occupying the all-important sixth spot in the Isuzu UTE A-League heading into the final two rounds of the campaign.

Up next for Younis and Co is an away trip to Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium, where a win will guarantee them a spot in the Finals Series with a game to spare.
