Western Sydney Wanderers have signed Japanese striker Hiroshi Ibusuki until the end of the 2026/27 Isuzu UTE A-League season.

Western Sydney Wanderers have signed Japanese striker Hiroshi Ibusuki until the end of the 2026/27 Isuzu UTE A-League season.

The Wanderers will Ibusuki’s third Isuzu UTE A-League club after stints at Adelaide United and Western United, in which he scored 38 goals in 98 appearances across the two clubs.

The 34-year-old arrives from East Bengal FC, and has also had stints in Japan, Spain and Belgium.

“Hiroshi is a proven striker with experience across some of the world’s toughest leagues,” Wanderers head coach Alen Stajcic said on the club’s website.

“His ability to score goals and lead from the front will be a real asset of our squad as we push for success in the 2026/27 season.

“Beyond his goal-scoring ability, Hiroshi brings leadership and professionalism to the group.

“He will be a great role model for our younger players while strengthening our attacking options… He has the skill, experience and mentality to make an immediate impact and help us compete at the highest level in the A-Leagues.”

“I’m really excited and really happy to be here,” Ibusuki said on the Wanderers’ website.

“I have come here to help teammates and everyone.

“I think it’s currently not an easy situation for us (the Wanderers), but we will try to do our best, so please support us. I hope at the end of the season, we can share a great moment.”

Western Sydney Wanderers next play against Newcastle tomorrow afternoon at Commbank Stadium.
