Brisbane Roar have confirmed the signing of striker Nicholas D’Agostino, who joins the club on loan from Norwegian first division champions Viking FK for the remainder of the Isuzu UTE A-League Men 2025/26 season.

A current Socceroo, D’Agostino’s arrival signals intent from the Roar heading into the second half of the campaign. The forward began his career in the Brisbane Roar youth system and the Football Australia Centre of Excellence, making more than 30 appearances for the Roar between 2015 and 2018 before moving to Perth Glory in 2019.
Between 2019 and 2023, D’Agostino represented both Glory and Melbourne Victory. During his spell with Melbourne Victory he earned a senior national team call-up, making his Socceroos debut in 2022 against Saudi Arabia in a FIFA World Cup Qualifier. In 2023 he moved abroad to Viking FK, where he has spent the past three seasons, making close to 50 appearances and helping the club secure the 2025 domestic league title.
Speaking on returning to the Roar, D’Agostino said, “It’s fantastic to be back home and putting on the Brisbane Roar jersey once again.
“The Roar was where my football journey really took shape and I’m hungry to fight for the badge and help push the team forward and win matches.
“To the fans, it’s a privilege to be representing you once again and I look forward to seeing you all again at the next home match.”
Chief Operations Officer Zac Anderson added, “Bringing Nick back to Brisbane is a significant moment for the Club. As a current Socceroo, his decision to return speaks volumes about the direction we are heading.
“Nick brings intensity, professionalism and a genuine hunger to succeed, and we’re excited to see him lead from the front and represent our supporters.”
