Brisbane Roar have confirmed captain Jay O’Shea will be sidelined for up to a month due to an ankle injury.
The 37-year-old was substituted during the second half of Brisbane’s recent 1-0 loss to Melbourne City after twisting his ankle during a challenge with City midfielder Kai Trewin.

O’Shea managed to continue on into the second half of the clash at AAMI Park before being substituted in the 69th minute.
The veteran midfielder subsequently missed last Friday’s 2-0 defeat to Auckland FC at Suncorp Stadium and could now be out of action for the next four weeks after scans revealed damage to his right ankle.
After initially chalking up a six-game unbeaten run, Michael Valkanis’ side have subsequently gone on to lose four of their last five matches.
The Roar travel to Western Australia in Round 13 of the Isuzu UTE A-League when they take on Perth Glory at HBF Park.
