Adelaide United land ‘exciting attacking talent’ & ‘huge prospect’

Adelaide United have signed talented duo Jake Najdovski and Israel “Izzy” Monga, with both players committing their long-term futures to the Isuzu UTE A-League club.

Australian-born striker Jake Najdovski, 20, joins the Reds on a three-year contract after Western United’s Club Participation Agreement (CPA) was placed in conditional hibernation for the upcoming campaign.

Having already featured in nine matches during the 2024-25 season, Najdovski brings valuable top-flight experience alongside significant potential for growth at Coopers Stadium.

“I’m really excited and grateful for the opportunity to join Adelaide,” said Najdovski. “It’s one of the biggest clubs in the league with incredible fans, and I’m looking forward to playing in front of them at Coopers Stadium and scoring goals.

“This move is a major step in my career, and I can’t wait to get started, meet my teammates, and give everything for this club.”

At just 17, versatile defender Monga joins Adelaide on a three-year scholarship contract.

A product of the Goulburn Valley Suns in VPL2 – the Victorian third tier, Monga made 17 senior appearances and also represented NSW Country at the 2023 National Youth Championships.

Monga has the potential to be an exciting young defender – fast, strong, versatile and good on the ball – with the ability to play across multiple defending roles. His dynamic style and natural confidence have already marked him as a huge prospect for the future.
