Speaking on signing with the club, Dench said, “I’m proud to have signed for the Roar for the 2025-26 season. It’s exciting to join the club during what is a new era here.
“I’ve worked extremely hard to get myself here and it’s because of this that I’m driven to give my all for the shirt and make the fans proud this season.”
Head coach Michael Valkanis said: “Matthew has been fantastic throughout his trial period with the club and it’s because of this that we are happy to have him on board this season.
“He is an athletic, left-footed player who has the ability to pick a good pass and be impactful at both ends of the field.
“I look forward to watching him progress throughout the season.”
