“Me and my dad have both been Sydney FC members for about 5 years, we go to as many home games as we can. It takes us 2.5 hours from our home in Kangaroo Valley to get there, we sometimes take my friends, and they love Sydney FC and always now ask to come with us to games. My Favorite moment was when I was selected last year to be a Player Mascot and I got to walk out on to the field with my favourite player Joe Lolley.
“I was very nervous, but at the same time excited Joe said hi to me and asked my name and we then walked out of the tunnel on to the field, it felt like everyone in the stadium was looking at me and was very excited. The game was VS Melbourne Victory and Joe scored 2 goals, and I felt like I was his lucky charm. When I went to school on Monday, I got to tell my class and friends all about this, and everyone was so excited for me.

“After the 2023 Women’s World Cup, I realised I couldn’t just say I supported women’s sport, I had to show up. That’s when I became a Sydney FC Women’s member. Now, heading into my third season, I’ve never looked back.
“I’d been to a few local A-League games over the years, trying to find a club that truly felt like home. Nothing clicked until I joined Sydney FC. From day one, it was different, welcoming, passionate, and committed to the women’s game in a way that felt real.
“I signed up with a close friend and her partner, and now we rarely miss a match. Whether we’re standing in the rain at Leichhardt or in the stands at Allianz, it’s about more than just football; it’s pride, connection, and belonging.
“I’ve even roped others in. My father-in-law had never watched a game of football before, but after one Sydney Derby, second row, halfway line, he walked out in Sydney FC merch and still wears it proudly.”I’ve even roped others in. “One of the most emotional moments for me was the Sydney FC v Wrexham game. I wore a Wrexham jersey that night as a nod to my North Welsh roots. Wrexham is part of my family’s heritage. But even while wearing yellow, I felt a surge of pride watching Sydney’s young side hold their own. Seeing two clubs I care about face off was surreal, but it only strengthened my love for the Sky Blue.
“Being part of Sydney FC isn’t just about results; it’s about progress, community, and standing for something bigger. It’s a club I’m proud to support, and one day, our future kids will wear the same colours, because there’s no other team like this one.’

“2019. The A-League Grand Final. Sydney FC v Perth. The moment the fixture was confirmed, my three mates and I didn’t think twice — we paid ridiculous prices for last-minute flights and booked our journey west to back the boys.
“From the moment we landed in Perth, it felt like a mission. Sydney FC scarves proudly around our necks, we linked up with fellow Sky-Blue members at the pub. The chants started early. The atmosphere was electric. We marched together, voices loud, hearts full — strangers united by the badge on our chests.
“The game? Unforgettable. A nail-biting, edge-of-your-seat thriller that went all the way to penalties. I remember the entire stadium holding its breath… then erupting as Sydney sealed the win. Pure chaos. Hugs, high-fives, tears — the kind of raw emotion only football can deliver.
“But the story didn’t end there.
“Still buzzing from the win, we didn’t sleep. We left the stadium, adrenaline still coursing through us, and went straight to the airport for the red-eye flight back to Sydney. Exhausted? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely. That trip was the perfect reminder of why being a Sydney FC member isn’t just about the 90 minutes — it’s about the passion, the friendships, the shared highs and lows, and the memories that last a lifetime.”
