Newcastle Jets defender Aleksandar Susnjar said he is “hoping” to be sidelined for less than 10 weeks as he recovers from an ankle injury.
Susnjar – a one-time Socceroo who joined the Jets this season – has not played since Newcastle’s loss away to Wellington Phoenix on December 28.
The 29-year-old provided an update on his fitness as the Jets lost 3-1 to Macarthur Bulls on Sunday.
