Nicolai Muller has been named head coach of Macarthur Bulls’ senior Academy Men’s team.
A two-time Germany international, Muller replaces former star Craig Noone at the helm of Bulls FC Academy in Football NSW League One – the second tier of football in New South Wales.
The 37-year-old played for the likes of Hamburg and Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany before representing Western Sydney Wanderers and Central Coast Mariners in the Isuzu UTE A-League between 2019-22.
Muller arrives from the Mariners, where the German stared his coaching journey last year.
“It feels amazing, I think it’s a great opportunity for me and I’m excited and looking forward to the next season,” Muller said.
“Training is going good. We’ve now had four sessions, and the boys are very motivated and have very good quality,” he added.
Bulls FC Academy fell agonisingly short of promotion to NPLM NSW following a two-legged relegation/promotion play-off against Central Coast Mariners.
The Bulls were top of the League One standings for much of the 2024 campaign, before eventually finishing second.
“I don’t see it as a test, I see it as a chance and opportunity. And I’m confident that we will have a good season,” Muller continued.
“With these young boys they all have a dream to be a pro player, and that’s what drives me and what I want to do to develop the boys.”
