Sydney FC are making available the A-Leagues’ first ever Pride Membership.
The Membership is designed to welcome members of the LGBTQIA+ community to the club and is open to both existing Sydney FC Members and community members interested in coming to football.

The Membership offers a number of benefits including $40 worth of Member Shop Credits plus free entry into Sydney FC’s October Pride event and a special Sydney FC Pride pin badge, as well other standard Sydney FC Member benefits.
The Membership can act as a standalone or as an add-on to an existing Membership.
Sydney FC CEO Mark Aubrey highlighted the importance of this new Membership.
“This is a significant step in showing our LGBTQIA+ supporters that Sydney FC is a club where everyone is welcome,” he said.
“We understand that some members of the community may feel nervous or apprehensive about attending some sporting events, and we want to break down those barriers.
“Our Pride Membership sends a clear message that Sydney FC is a place where everyone belongs.
“We offer a ‘football for all’ experience, and we are proud to take this step towards showing our games are an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone.”
The Sky Blues will also wear a Pride kit for the very first time in the club’s history in the Men’s and Women’s double header against Wellington Phoenix at Allianz Stadium on Saturday 15th March, 2025.

Men’s Captain Rhyan Grant also expressed his support for the initiative.
“This is a great move by the club,” he said.
“Sydney FC has always been about more than just football; we are a family, and families include everyone.
“The Pride Membership is a fantastic way to show that no matter who you are, you’re part of our family.
“We want all our fans to feel safe, respected, and excited when they come to watch us play.”
Women’s Captain Natalie Tobin echoed these sentiments, underscoring the club’s commitment to inclusivity.
“I’m incredibly proud that Sydney FC is launching the first Pride Membership in the A-Leagues. It shows that we’re not just talking about inclusivity – we’re actively creating it.
“Football is a space where everyone feels welcome and safe, and this Membership proves that Sydney FC is leading the way in making that a reality.”
Long-time Sydney FC member Joseph Roppolo praised the launch:

“I’ve always felt welcomed at Sydney FC, and it’s great to see the club doing even more to ensure that LGBTQIA+ fans feel the same.
“This initiative will show everyone that Sydney FC is a place where all are accepted, and that’s something every fan can be proud of.”
Pride Members are encouraged to wear their Sydney FC Pin badge at home games in order to find and sit with like minded community members.
Wearers of the pin will be able to provide help to newcomers on where to sit and how to join active supporter groups to best enjoy the game day experience.
Sydney FC will also host a welcoming event in late October before the first home games of the season for Pride Members and anyone interested in football, to hear from community leaders about their experiences and shared love of football.
Pride Members will also be offered first chance to purchase Sydney FC’s first ever Pride Kit, to be worn in the first week of March by Sydney’s Men’s and Women’s teams.
