Adelaide United have secured the services of versatile midfielder Tiarna Karambasis on a one-year Liberty A-League contract.
The 24-year-old enjoyed a stellar debut season in the competition as a member of Central Coast’s squad that reached the Semi-Finals on the club’s return to the Liberty A-League.
Karambasis scored one goal in the 2023-24 campaign and it came against Adelaide; now, she has elected to join the Reds where she’ll contribute to the club’s push for improvement after finishing bottom of the table last season.
“I’m really excited to be joining Adelaide United and becoming part of the Reds family,” Karambasis said.
“The club’s great culture and history are exciting to me. I’m looking forward to getting down to Adelaide to start working with the coaching staff and players.”
Prior to joining the Mariners, Karambasis was a pivotal figure at NPLW Queensland side Lions FC where she won the Premiership/Grand Final double in 2019 and returned for more silverware in 2022.
Adelaide Untied head of football Marius Zanin has backed Karambasis, the club’s second new signing alongside Matilda McNamara, to become a key player at the Reds.
“We are very excited to have Tiarna join Adelaide United. She brings a wealth of experience and offers great depth across our midfield and defensive lines.
“We believe she will make a significant impact this season.”
