Brisbane Roar have confirmed midfielder Hollie Palmer has left the Liberty A-League club, bringing an end to her six-year association with the Queensland side.

Making her debut in the 2017-18 season, Palmer went on to play 73 matches for the Roar whilst scoring four goals after breaking into the first-team set-up aged just 16.

Despite moving to Melbourne City for the 2020-21 season, Palmer then returned the following year under former head coach Garrath McPherson and leaves Brisbane ranked eighth on their all-time appearance list.

“Thank you to everyone at the club and the fans for supporting me along my journey so far,” said Palmer after news of her release was confirmed.

“It’s time for me to move on, but I wish the team all the best for the season ahead.”

Palmer was a regular in the Brisbane Roar side which finished ninth last season, making 20 appearances, 15 of which were starts.

The 23-year-old is the latest high-profile exit following last week’s departure of club captain Ayesha Norrie, who brought about an end to her three-year spell in Orange.
