The Australian Professional Leagues (APL) has confirmed the start dates for the Liberty A-League Women and Isuzu UTE A-League Men season 2024/25.
Following a record-breaking season that saw record crowds, memberships and TV viewers, the Liberty A-League Women 2024/25 season will kick off on the weekend of 1-3 November.
The season has also been extended to a 23-game regular season as the league continues to expand to meet international standards.
The Liberty A-League Women 2024/25 season will see each team play 22 home and away fixtures, with an additional game being played during Unite Round.
As per the 2023/24 season, the top six sides will qualify for the Liberty A-League 2025 Finals Series which is set to kick off on 25-27 April, with the Grand Final scheduled for the weekend of 16-18 May.
The Isuzu UTE A-League Men, which last season saw a third year of consecutive growth, will begin on the weekend of 18-20 October.
With Auckland FC joining in season 2024/25, the Isuzu UTE A-League Men will expand to a 13-team competition and a 29-round regular season.
The 20th anniversary of the Isuzu UTE A-League Men will see each club play 24 home and away fixtures, plus two additional third match up fixtures (Unite Round and one other), plus three byes.
As per the 2023/24 season, the top six sides will qualify for the Isuzu UTE A-League 2025 Finals Series which will start on the weekend of 9-11 May, with the Grand Final to be played on the weekend of 30 May – 1 June.
The full fixtures for both competitions will be announced in the coming weeks, while the details of the second edition of Unite Round 2024/25 will be unveiled later this week.
