Auckland FC have added former Scotland and Celtic shot-stopper Jonathan Gould to their staff as Goalkeeper Coach.
The incoming Isuzu UTE A-League expansion club have further bolstered their coaching staff, which already includes head coach Steve Corica and assistant Danny Hay.
Gould, who spent a year with Stoke City in the EFL Championship, brings a wealth of experience to Auckland, both internationally and in the A-Leagues via Wellington Phoenix.
As a player, the 55-year-old made over 150 appearances for Scottish giants Celtic and won six trophies in Glasgow.
He also played for Coventry City, Bradford City and Preston North End in England, while earning two international caps for Scotland, including one against the Socceroos in 2000.

Gould relocated to New Zealand in 2005 and eventually ended up at the Phoenix four years later – working as a goalkeeper coach and manager of Phoenix’s reserve side.
That was the first of three spells at the Phoenix, having also worked as a goalkeeper coach for the Wellington-based outfield in 2012-15 and 2022, while he spent the 2011-12 season at Perth Glory.
His coaching career has also seen him work with Tony Pulis at West Brom in the Premier League and Middlesbrough in England’s second tier.
